Weekend Projects Winter 2018

Painting the flower boxes that go on the front of the house.  These are replacements as the originals were rotten.

Keeping the kitty toys out of the floor furnace intake with a new screen.

New baseboard on my little cabinet by the range.

New baseboard below the dishwasher.

I'm now able to keep a lot of the rain out of the basement, although with a high water table some still comes in through the stairs.

Only the very bottom of the stairwell gets wet now.

Leveling for automatic gate that will be installed this summer.

Pretty nice job if I don't say so myself.

The orange dot is about a foot in from my property line and is where the fence will be.

New Doors

The back door and the door from my basement to the back yard were security issues because of the windows they had.  Below are some of the before and after pictures.

Inside of new basement door.  It needs some framing boards.

Threshold of new basement door with aluminum strips below it to let water come in to the house's perimeter trough and around to the drain.  I know... crazy design, but there is no exterior drain.
