Previous Owner

This is Donald Solle, who installed my living room bookshelves, sitting in front of the fireplace with his two daughters Anne and Donna and son David. Don and Lois owned my house from 1952 to 1961. They moved out the year I was born. I was very happy to meet Anne on the left when she was 72 in 2021. She lived here from age 2 to 12.

Anne is on the right.

This is Anne on the kitchen floor.

This is Anne with a perm in front of the house.

I found Anne's toy phone buried on the north side of my yard. She lost it there when she was a young girl. She was 72 when I got to meet her and return it to her.  Her father worked for West Coast Telephone and had often given her phone related gifts.

When taking out the walls of the breakfast nook, this card fell out of the storage area by the back door. I posted it on the Vintage Everett Facebook group and found Gwen, the little girl on the bottom left.

This is Gwen Tallmadge in 2024. She and her family lived on Rucker Avenue a couple of blocks away. Her father, Ken Tallmadge, and Anne's father, Don Solle, worked together at the phone company. Gwen's mother had sent this card to Anne's family. Judging by her and her 5 siblings in the picture, she estimated it was sent in the late 1950s.
